Bangladesh (BAN) lock horns with Pakistan (PAK) in a three-match ODI series at the Shere Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka. The first ODI is set to be played on Wednesday, March 11.
The Bangla Tigers didn’t play the T20 World Cup this year after expressing security concerns. Mehidy Hasan Miraz would look to make a statement after a long break for the home team from international cricket. Bangladesh’s last ODI series was in Mirpur in October last year against the West Indies. The home side won 2-1.
Meanwhile, Pakistan would want to bounce back after a below-par T20 World Cup campaign. The Men in Green failed to make it to the knockouts in consecutive editions of the tournament. Pakistan’s last ODI assignment was a three-match series against Sri Lanka at home in November 2025. The hosts won the series 3-0.

Shere Bangla National Stadium in Dhaka Pitch Report
The Shere Bangla National Stadium is known for being one of the favourite grounds for spinners. The surface is expected to be sluggish, and run-scoring is going to be difficult. Winning the toss and opting to bat first could be a fruitful move.

BAN vs PAK Probable Best Performers
Probable Best Batter: Sahibzada Farhan
Sahibzada Farhan had a fantastic run in the T20 World Cup 2026. He finished the tournament as the highest run-getter, despite his team being knocked out ahead of the semi-finals. The right-handed batter would want to make the most of the field restrictions inside the powerplay.
Probable Best Bowler: Mustafizur Rahman

Mustafizur Rahman is an experienced campaigner and has bowled a lot on this ground over the years. His cutters are going to be lethal, especially in the death overs. It will be interesting to see if Mehidy gives the new ball to him.
