Three Aston Martin Vantage GT3s to take on the challenge of the Nurburgring Nordscleife in NLS1

 

 

 

The Nurburgring Langstrecken Serie becomes the first traditional European based race series to get its 2026 programme underway this weekend with its first of ten rounds around the infamous Nurburgring Nordschleife between now and mid-October.

Compared to previous seasons within the NLS Series, all Aston Martin Racing powered participation moves to the front of their traditional diverse and expansive grids will all three AMR powered entries competing within the SP9 class.

Over the winter, the usual participants from the Prosport Racing team have seen them realign to another platform leaving just there older iteration of Vantage GT3 to compete with the two Walkenhorst Motorsport and their newer Evo’d cars.

With all three cars entered into this year’s ADAC Ravenol Nurburgring 24 Hour event later this year, these early NLS rounds will prove pivotable to all in the 24-hour preparations.

Today’s provisional entry list saw father and son, Maxime and Guido Dumarey confirmed within their 327 SP9 Am classed entry with both Christian Krognes and Mattia Drudi confirmed within that German teams #34 Pro class entry.

The #35 Walkenhorst Pro-Am entry of Felipe Fernandez Laser, Matteo Villagomez and Dennis Fetner were also confirmed ahead of this weekend’s four-hour opener with an expected combined grid entry of over one hundred and thirty cars.
