The Legends League Cricket 2026 marks the latest edition of the popular T20 tournament that brings together several retired international superstars for another exciting chapter of competitive cricket. Designed to celebrate the legacy of the game’s greatest players, the league offers fans a rare opportunity to watch iconic cricketers return to the field and relive some of the magic that defined their illustrious careers.
Scheduled to take place from March 11 to March 27, 2026, this season promises to be bigger and more engaging than ever before. The tournament will feature 19 matches, giving fans plenty of high-quality cricket action over the course of just over two weeks. One of the major highlights of this edition is its multi-city format, as matches will be staged across four distinctive Indian cities.

Six franchises are competing this year, having collectively spent over ₹30.56 crore in the player auction to secure 97 legendary cricketers. The six teams taking part this edition are:

Legends to watch out for
The upcoming edition of LLC 2026 is set to feature several renowned and fan-favourite cricketers who have left a lasting impact on international cricket. The tournament will bring together a blend of explosive batters, crafty bowlers and experienced all-rounders, making it a treat for cricket enthusiasts.
Among the biggest names participating are Suresh Raina, Chris Gayle, Robin Uthappa, Harbhajan Singh, Martin Guptill, Dinesh Karthik, Irfan Pathan, Hashim Amla, Ross Taylor, Ravichandran Ashwin, Cheteshwar Pujara and Thisara Perera. These players have enjoyed illustrious careers at the highest level and are known for their match-winning abilities and leadership on the field.
Tournament format & venues
The 2026 season follows a single round-robin format followed by a standard playoff structure. In the league phase, each team plays the other five once (15 matches total). Then in the playoffs, the top four teams advance to Qualifier 1, Eliminator, Qualifier 2, and the Grand Final.
In a move to promote cricket in non-metro areas, matches will be played in:

- Coimbatore: Sri Ramakrishna College Ground
- Amritsar: Gandhi Sports Complex Ground
