WWE’s flagship show, Monday Night RAW has been seeing a lot of factions coming up and trying to make a mark on the red brand. Another emerging stable on RAW has been making waves and have now got a new name to solidify their status as proper and cohesive unit.
Which faction got a new name on Monday Night RAW?
The WWE women’s division saw the return of popular star Sonya Deville a few months ago. Deville had been on the sidelines with a devastating knee injury. She had to rehab for months before returning to Monday Night RAW. Upon her very first night, Sonya Deville approached Zoey Stark and Shayna Baszler and offered to join forces with them. At first, Stark and Baszler were not interested in aligning with Deville.
However, as the weeks progressed, Zoey Stark and Shayna Baszler eventually gave it a shot and aligned themselves with Sonya Deville. Moreover, it proved to be highly beneficial for the upcoming tag team as Deville’s association fetched them significant opportunities and TV time on Monday Night RAW.
On the August edition of RAW, Sonya Deville proclaimed a new name for her faction, “The Pure Fusion Collective”, which was later made official after it appeared on the television screens. Furthermore, the new name team members, Shayna Baszler and Zoey Stark fought Damage CTRL’s IYO Sky and Kairi Sane to a no contest in a No.1 contender’s match for the WWE Women’s tag team titles by the champions themselves, Alba Fyre and Isla Dawn later on.
This led to RAW General Manager making a triple threat tag team match for the WWE Women’s tag team championships with Fyre and Dawn defending their titles against both teams. With a new name, it will be interesting to see if it would bring new luck to the trio of Sonya Deville, Zoey Stark and Shayna Baszler.
