Jake Paul has given his two cents on Jon Jones’ situation after the latter was not given a spot on the UFC Freedom 250 card.
Jones vacated his heavyweight championship last year and retired instead of fighting then-interim champion Tom Aspinall. However, once the UFC White House event was announced, the former two-division champion wasted no time in jumping back in the testing pool and showing immediate interest in fighting on June 14.
Over the past few months, rumors were building that “Bones” would fight Alex Pereira at the White House.
However, this past weekend, when the bout list was announced, Jones’ name was nowhere to be seen. Meanwhile, “Poatan,” who has vacated his light heavyweight title to chase three-division glory, will now face Ciryl Gane for the interim 265-pound championship in the co-main event of UFC Freedom 250.
When UFC CEO Dana White was asked about Jones’ exclusion from the card, he quipped that “Bones” is retired due to hip arthritis, and the company never reached out to him about fighting at the White House.
Jones, however, has alleged that he was in negotiations with the UFC brass, but they lowballed him, and as a result, his potential last dance, which could have taken place on June 14, didn’t materialize.
Unhappy with Dana White’s comments, Jones has asked the UFC to release him if they think he has nothing more to offer.

Jake Paul invites Jon Jones to MVP
Whenever Jon Jones becomes a free agent, Jake Paul is game to sign him to an MVP card for an MMA fight and has promised Jones that he will get paid what he deserves. After the recent Ronda Rousey vs. Gina Carano presser, “The Problem Child” told the media:
“Jon [Jones], you’re always welcome to come over to MVP. We’ll get you paid what you deserve.”

MVP’s inaugural MMA event is set for May 16. The main event features a five-round featherweight clash between Ronda Rousey and Gina Carano. The co-main is a heavyweight contest between Francis Ngannou and Philipe Lins. This card will stream on Netflix and is notably the streaming platform’s first-ever live MMA broadcast.
After signing hotshots like “The Predator,” “Rowdy,” and Carano, among others already, if Jake Paul’s MVP could potentially bring in Jones as well, a long-awaited showdown between “Bones” and Ngannou could finally materialize, and fans are already demanding the same.
