Chelsea Green is still recovering from a broken ankle — but if you ask her, missing WrestleMania 42 is definitely not part of the plan.
Green recently provided an update on her recovery while appearing on the Beyond the Belt podcast on March 11, 2026. This comes after she previously revealed she chipped her ankle and had been wearing a walking boot while recovering from the injury.
During the interview, Green was asked how her recovery was progressing as WWE heads deeper into WrestleMania season. She made it clear that while the ankle is still bothering her, the healing process is moving in the right direction.
“Everything is great! My ankle is very sore, but we’re making huge progress, which I think is great and necessary, especially entering WrestleMania season.”
The former WWE Women’s United States Champion then made it very clear that she has no intention of sitting out WWE’s biggest event of the year, as she said: “I cannot be missing WrestleMania! So that’s amazing.”
The update comes after Green previously talked about the injury in another interview, explaining that she chipped the side of her ankle but felt fortunate that the damage wasn’t worse. At the time, she also revealed that she had already started moving around without the walking boot — although she admitted she technically shouldn’t be doing that yet.
Now, with WrestleMania 42 approaching, Green’s latest comments suggest she’s pushing hard to make sure the injury doesn’t keep her out of the limelight. Based on her own words, she’s determined to be ready when WrestleMania arrives. With WrestleMania 42 just weeks away, Green’s recovery timeline is suddenly becoming a lot more interesting.
