The stage is set for a thrilling end to the tournament but a potential problem has emerged ahead of the final weekend
After four rounds of thrilling Six Nations action, it all comes down to the final weekend with three teams still in with a chance of being crowned champions.
Last weekend saw Scotland put an end to France’s Grand Slam hopes with a remarkable 50-40 win at Murrayfield, while Ireland saw out a gritty win against Wales and Italy recorded a first-ever victory over England in Rome. The results have shaken things up in the tournament table, with Les Bleus now tied on 16 points with the Scots, while Ireland are still in the title hunt with 14 points.
With Scotland and Ireland facing each other in Dublin in the opening Super Saturday fixture, all eyes will be on France’s clash with England in the evening, with a French bonus-point win likely to see them secure the crown.

However, those tuning in for ‘Le Crunch’ could end up frustrated, with the prospect of a kit clash in the Six Nations finale emerging.
While France and England typically do battle wearing dark blue and white respectively, this year’s meeting will see the hosts wear a very pale blue jersey in Paris.
The alternative kit was revealed last month to mark the 120th anniversary of the fixture, with the design for the Super Saturday clash mirroring the original jersey worn by the French team in their first match against England in 1906.
“Drawing directly from the history of the rivalry, the design of the match jersey – and its replica version – references the original light blue jersey worn by the French team in 1906 for their first fixture against England,” a statement from the FFR read.
“The 1927 FFR logo adorned on the collection denotes the year of the French team’s first victory against England, while the ‘Tricolore’ stripes are a nod to the French rugby kits of the late 80s and 90s, when adidas was the kit supplier of the federation.”
While the kit has won plenty of admirers since last month’s announcement, with the initial stock of replica jerseys quickly selling out, the lighter jersey could create issues this weekend with some fans suggesting that it will clash with England’s white strip.
Steve Borthwick’s side have an alternative kit they could wear to solve the issue, with their second jersey predominantly black with blue and purple detailing.
However, Planet Rugby reports that England are set to don their traditional white jersey instead, with the move set to cause a clash and frustration for viewers.
It comes after Wales wore white for their clash with Ireland last weekend, having always worn their traditional red jerseys for the fixture. They did so under rules introduced by World Rugby last year, which are designed to help colour-blind viewers follow the game more easily.
