After years of speculation, the Las Vegas Raiders had finally agreed to trade star defensive end Maxx Crosby to the Baltimore Ravens for two first-round draft picks. Though Crosby has been the face of the franchise, it felt that the time for the two sides to part ways had finally come with him wanting to play for a playoff team while the Raiders seemed poised to start a rebuild.
However, news came down to the shock of everyone that the Ravens had backed out of the deal, stating that Crosby had failed his physical. This seemed to put both Crosby and the Raiders in an uncomfortable position, but immediate reports stated he was ready to move forward with the Raiders.
And now the man himself has confirmed that as Crosby took to social media saying that he is a Raider, and sounds ready to lead this franchise once again:
Everything Happens For A Reason. Believe Nothing You Hear & Half Of What You See. Im A Raider. I’m Back. Run That Sh*t. 🦅🏴☠️ pic.twitter.com/8IZXiDYMio

For most other players, this might seem like someone just saying what he has to now that he is back with a team that had traded him away. But for Crosby, with how much he has said he loves this Raiders franchise and how he wants to win with this team, it checks out and The Undertaker gif was a nice touch as well.
There is no denying that Crosby had his frustrations with the franchise as they pushed for him to shut it down at the end of the year and get meniscus surgery. But Crosby pushing for a trade seems more like him being resigned to the fact that he and the Raiders were on two different timelines and him wanting to win now.
But perhaps he now looks at this as a sign that he is really meant to be a Raider for life, which is what he always preferred. And with the number of additions the Raiders have already made through free agency across the board, and being armed with the number one pick in the draft, this team might be closer to making the postseason than many initially believed.
Raiders sign center Tyler Linderbaum to record deal
The Raiders’ free agency additions weren’t just on the defensive side of the ball either as the franchise agreed to a deal with Tyler Linderbaum, making him the highest paid center in NFL history as he will play a big role in helping to shore up the Raiders’ offensive line issues.
