My Favourite Golf Podcasts –

My Favourite Golf Podcasts is a short golf blog post that looks at a list of my all-time favourite Golf podcasts from around the world.

As a PGA Fellow Professional, I appreciate a mix of high-level instruction and deep-dive analysis into the pro game.

Whether you’re looking for tournament previews, stories, or equipment reviews, here are the most popular and highly-regarded golf podcasts for 2026.

The Heavy Hitters

These shows dominate the charts by blending humour with deep access to Tour players and industry insiders.

  • No Laying Up:
Widely considered the gold standard for pro-golf coverage. They offer a “fan-first” perspective but with high-level intelligence on the PGA Tour, LIV, and DP World Tour.

  • Fore Play (Barstool Sports):
Hosted by Riggs and Trent, this is the most popular “common man” podcast. It’s lighthearted and focused on golf culture, often featuring big-name player interviews.

  • The Shotgun Start:
Co-hosted by Andy Johnson (The Fried Egg) and Brendan Porath. It’s famous for its wit and “deep-dive” nerdery on the more obscure but fascinating parts of the pro schedule.

  • Subpar:
Hosted by former PGA Tour pro Colt Knost and Drew Stoltz. Their chemistry and “locker room” style interviews with players are some of the best in the business.

Instructional & Coaching Focus

These are likely the most relevant for professional development and staying on top of modern coaching trends.

  • On The Mark:
Mark Immelman is one of the best in the business. He interviews top instructors, players, and performance experts. It is a must-listen for anyone interested in the technical and mental side of the game.

  • The Rick Shiels Golf Show:
While Rick is a massive YouTube personality, his podcast (co-hosted by Guy Charnock) is excellent for gear reviews, industry news, and coaching anecdotes.

  • Hack It Out Golf:
Featuring Mark Crossfield, Lou Stagner, and Greg Chalmers. This is a fantastic resource for data-driven insights (via Stagner) and “real-world” coaching banter.

  • The Sweet Spot:
Hosted by Adam Young and Jon Sherman. This focuses heavily on the mental game and practice structures—great for picking up tips to pass on to students.

Architecture & Deep Lore
  • The Fried Egg Golf Podcast:
The premier choice for those interested in course architecture and design. Andy Johnson’s episodes often feature architects discussing the “why” behind famous layouts.

  • The Golfer’s Journal Podcast:
A more “literary” approach to the game. It focuses on the storytelling and soul of golf rather than scores and leaderboards.

UK & European Focus

These provide excellent context for the DP World Tour and British club life.

  • Sky Sports Golf Podcast:
Hosted by Jamie Weir and Josh Antmann. Perfect for staying up to date with the weekly news across all tours with a British slant.

  • The Bunkered Podcast:
The leading podcast from the Scottish-based magazine, covering everything from the home of golf, with great guest interviews.

  • Life On Tour:
The official DP World Tour podcast, offering inside stories from the European circuit.

  • The Chipping Forecast:
Andrew Cotter, Eddie Pepperell and Iain Carter are telling stories about the world of golf.
