The Jays’ reliever will be joined by Tigers reliever Will Vest and Yankees reliever Tim Hill, while Tarik Skubal (Tigers), Michael Wacha (Royals), and Ryan Yarbrough (Yankees) will be returning to their respective Spring Training camps.
Rogers provides a boost to a Team USA squad ahead of their quarterfinal matchup in Houston. The right-hander has been a dominant bullpen arm since making his debut in 2019, owning a 2.76 ERA and a 3.31 FIP through 424 innings with a 1 .6 BB/9 and a 6.5 K/9. With his different arm angle, Rogers limits the hard contact and generates a ton of groundballs, evidenced by his 56.6% groundball rate over his career. The United States posted a collective 3.50 ERA during their pool play stage, allowing 14 earned runs and 22 hits across 36 innings.

Last season with the Giants and Mets, Rogers crafted a 1.98 ERA across 77 1/3 innings while making a league high 81 appearances. He signed a three-year deal with the Blue Jays this past winter, the biggest free-agent addition in the bullpen for Toronto.
Fellow Jays reliever Jeff Hoffman is also on the reserve list for the United States but remains in Dunedin for the time being. Team Canada, on the other hand, will not be adding any new faces to the pitching corps, as the nation did not have any pitchers listed on its reserve list heading into the tournament.
