Townsville — Bare Knuckle Fighting Championship (BKFC), widely recognized as one of the fastest-growing promotions in combat sports, has officially announced its long-awaited debut in Australia. The historic event, BKFC Fight Night Australia, will take place on April 18 at the Townsville Entertainment and Convention Centre.

The card will be headlined by a highly anticipated heavyweight rematch between Australian fan favorite Haze “The Huntsman” Hepi (3-1) and undefeated Polish bruiser Krzysztof “The Big Man” Wisniewski (3-0), who now resides in Coventry, England.

Hepi and Wisniewski Set for Heavyweight Rematch

The two heavyweights first clashed at BKFC 83 on April 26, 2025, in Rome, Italy. In a hard-fought battle, Wisniewski earned a stoppage victory when the ringside physician halted the contest after the third round due to a severe cut suffered by Hepi.

Now, the rivals will meet again in Australia with both fighters eager to settle unfinished business.

“Haze Hepi and Krzysztof Wisniewski had a sudden and disappointing ending in their exciting first fight and both wanted to run it back which makes for a tremendous main event for April 18,” said BKFC founder and president David Feldman.

Mark Flanagan Set for Bare-Knuckle Debut

Also announced for the event is the bare-knuckle debut of former Australian boxing champion Mark “Bam Bam” Flanagan of Brisbane, Queensland. Flanagan will face an opponent yet to be named.

Flanagan enters BKFC with a professional boxing record of 24-7 with 17 knockouts. During his career, he challenged former WBA cruiserweight champion Denis Lebedev in a spirited 12-round bout, showcasing his toughness and durability against elite competition.

Additional fights for the Australian debut event are expected to be announced in the coming weeks.

BKFC Expands Into Australia

BKFC leadership expressed excitement about bringing the promotion’s unique brand of combat sports to Australia, a country with a deep history in boxing and combat athletics.

“We’re thrilled to announce our first show in the fighting rich country of Australia,” said Feldman. “Our team has worked hard to bring a world class card featuring some of the best bare-knuckle fighters internationally and from Australia for this can’t miss event.”

“Our tickets will go on-sale shortly and given the excitement over the last year for BKFC in Australia, I urge fans to purchase tickets in advance for our first event in the country.”

Ticket information for BKFC Fight Night Australia will be available through the BKFC website, with strong demand expected for the promotion’s first show on Australian soil.

Fighter Backgrounds

Before joining BKFC, Haze Hepi compiled a professional boxing record of 7-4-1. He made an immediate impact in bare-knuckle competition by knocking out BKFC veteran Steven Banks in the first round at BKFC 73 in Florence, Italy.

Wisniewski made his BKFC debut at BKFC 77 in Birmingham, England, where he stopped Thai Tettley in the third round. Since then, the Polish heavyweight has remained unbeaten in the promotion and will look to repeat his success against Hepi in the highly anticipated rematch.

With a heated rivalry at the top of the card and several international fighters expected to compete, BKFC Fight Night Australia promises to deliver an explosive debut for the promotion in front of Australian fans.
