New analysis reveals the top 10 most efficient earners in boxing, ranked by dollars per punches landed Deontay Wilder found to be earning over $86,000 more than Derek Chisora with every punch, or 48.5 times more. Deontay Wilder is boxing’s fifth-most efficient earner, while Derek Chisora ranked just 14th in the study.

As Deontay Wilder and Derek Chisora prepare to face off, new research has revealed that the American boxer’s punches are 48.5 times more valuable than the Brit’s.

‘The Bronze Bomber’ will clash with ‘Del Boy’ in London on April 4th, in what will mark a 50th professional bout for both boxers. However, the statistics from the study show that Wilder has been the most efficient earner, as his punches are, at least, $86,000 more valuable than Chisora’s.

The full research from 247Bet established which active fighters were the most efficient earners, by comparing the total amount of prize money earned against the total number of punches landed by 25 professional boxers.

Deontay Wilder ranked fifth place in the study, with ‘the Bronze Bomber’ earning an average of $88,133 per punch.

In detail, the American heavyweight has successfully landed an estimated 1,588 punches on his opponents across his 49 career bouts, racking up an impressive $140 million in prize money in that time.

Meanwhile, his opponent for the upcoming bout in April, Derek Chisora ranked outside the top 10 most efficient fighters, in 14th place.

The study found that ‘Del Boy’ has landed an estimated 5,308 punches on his opponents over the course of 49 professional fights. More than double the number of punches that Wilder has landed over the same number of fights.

Having racked up less than a quarter of Wilder’s total prize money in that time, $32.7 million, means that Derek Chisora has pocketed an estimated $1,813 per punch.

These figures mean that each one of the American Wilder’s punches is worth over $86,000 more than the Briton Chisora’s. Alternatively speaking, just one of Wilder’s punches is 48.5 times more valuable than one of Chisora’s punches.

However, both fighters have a ways to go before catching up to first-placed Anthony Joshua. AJ’s estimated earnings per punch are $231,709, more than double the value of Wilder and Chisora’s combined figures.

Elsewhere, the likes of Jake Paul ($218,555)Tyson Fury ($198,384), and Oleksandr Usyk ($14,585) are also more efficient earners than both Deontay Wilder and Derek Chisora, according to the study.
