On the latest WrestleVotes Radio on Fightful Select, it was noted that there have been heavy discussions within WWE to add stipulations to multiple matches that will end up on the WrestleMania 42 card. This would be part of a broader effort to enhance the overall presentation and “amplify” the spectacle.
One source noted that they wouldn’t be surprised if these stipulations are attached to the opening match on one of the two nights of WrestleMania as the company knows those matches will air on traditional ESPN outlets.
They speculated that something like a “Street Fight” stipulation on a match could air first as a way to try and hook in casual viewers to watch the rest of the show and subscribe to ESPN+. There have also been some pitches to have stipulations added to multiple matches throughout the card, not just the opening bouts.
