Devin Booker’s compelling Player Exclusive series has now arrived at a pair with some personal significance for the Phoenix Suns star: the Kentucky Wildcats. Continuing the theme established by earlier PEs inspired by programs like Michigan State and Oregon, Booker’s newest Nike Book 2 arrives dressed in Kentucky’s unmistakable blue-and-white palette. The design follows the same construction as the previously spotted Spiridon-inspired version of the silhouette, featuring breathable mesh across the upper and a sleek mudguard that wraps around the base of the shoe.
Here, the mesh upper appears in crisp white, contrasted by a royal blue ballistic mesh mudguard that echoes the Wildcats’ iconic team colors. At the heel, the school’s signature lettermark with the Wildcat mascot adds a direct nod to Booker’s college roots, bringing the tribute full circle.
Booker spent just one season in Lexington, but his time with Kentucky during the 2014–15 campaign remains an important chapter in his basketball journey. As a key contributor on John Calipari’s stacked roster, Booker helped cement one of the most memorable squads in recent college basketball history before declaring for the NBA Draft and becoming an all-time franchise great for Phoenix.
Like the other collegiate-themed Book 2 Player Exclusives seen this season, this Kentucky pair is unlikely to see a retail release. However, a Book 2 “Must Be The Denim” is set to launch on March 20th.
