Wizards or Generals?

Wizards or Generals?

The Washington Wizards are really the Washington Generals. The Wizards outscored the Magic 42-27 in the fourth quarter to force overtime before losing. The Magic played Cleveland on Wednesday but they played them at home. Easy peasy. The Magic are battling the Heat for the sixth seed in the Eastern Conference. They are much better than the Wizards so they should’ve beat them by 20.

Big News

The Wizards will take over being the chief rival of the Harlem Globetrotters and will leave the NBA and go on tour after the season. They are playing horribly but may not be “tanking” as has been thought after Bam Adebayo‘s 83 point game on Tuesday. A deeper dive into the Magic-Wizards game is important.

Magic – Wizards game

The Magic coach, Jamahl Mosley, said the following to cover up the Magic’s behavior.

“I saw the second night of a back-to-back take place, Our guys got ahead a little bit. They did a great job playing with pace and playing with speed. You have to give Washington a ton of credit. They came out and played hard. That was a big portion of it.”

Washington is tanking the season, so how could they come back to force overtime? They got beat by Miami a few days earlier. Could it be that the players in Washington are athletes and are deserving to play professional basketball? Could it be that in an 82 game season, it is very difficult to the mental status of a team to constantly lose?

Obviously that is the answer.

Magic also have a mental toughness problem

The Magic will come into Saturday’s game focused to beat Miami and secure their place as the fifth seed in the Eastern Conference. The Magic have beaten Miami in all four games they’ve played this season. The physicality and size of the Magic are big problems for the Heat.

Tristan Da Silva said the following about the win vs. the Wizards:

“This game was a reality check, too, You’ve got to be locked in every single time you are on the court. I felt like today, in stretches, we didn’t do a really good job of that. You do that against a team that has momentum and feels good about themselves, it can cost you the game.”

Heat – Magic game is huge

Both teams come into Saturday’s game with long win streaks and displays of resiliency. The first two games of the season series were close. But, the last two games have been Magic wins by nine points. Both Jaime Jaquez Jr. and Kel’el Ware played bad in those games. They will be needed to show out on Saturday as Norman Powell and Andrew Wiggins are questionable to play.

Dwayne Wade played cheerleader (and secret motivational tool) for the Heat by stating in a podcast with Shaq that “there’s no buzz in this City” with the Heat. The comments lit a fire under Bam and Coach Spoelstra appeared to welcome Wade’s comments. Then in an interview on “The Check-In” he showed every Heat fan that, although he has ownership in the Jazz, he is a Heat lifer.

Also don’t give me a county, don’t name it after me if yall don’t like that I’m always going to hold us to a standard — it’s Wade county because it’s a standard that’s there.
