Premier League leaders Arsenal will hope to take a huge step towards the top flight title when they host Everton on Saturday.
The Gunners currently boast a seven-point lead over Manchester City at the top of the standings and, despite the Citizens having a game-in-hand over their rivals, Mikel Arteta’s side are overwhelming favourites to lift the trophy in May.
The Toffees, however, arrive at The Emirates boasting an impressive away record in the Premier League this season, and David Moyes’ side could provide a stern test for Arsenal.
Ahead of the game, it has emerged that Arsenal are interested in a Serie A forward.
As per CaughtOffside, both Arsenal and Manchester United have held initial contacts about a possible move to sign Inter Milan’s Pio Esposito.
The 20-year-old is a product of Inter’s fruitful youth system and has spent the last two seasons on loan at fellow Italian side Spezia, where he scored 22 goals in 79 games across all competitions.
The youngster returned to Inter ahead of the current campaign, and has so far netted seven times for the Serie A leaders, including four goals in the league and two in the Champions League.

It is claimed that both Arsenal and Man United have had some initial contacts in relation to a possible move for the player, however Inter have made it clear that the forward is not for sale.
Esposito is contracted to his boyhood club until the end of the 2029/30 campaign, but the report suggests that the Serie A leaders are keen to tie him down to a longer deal.
According to the report, both Arsenal and Man United are set to continue to monitor the youngster’s situation, with at least one of the two Premier League sides potentially considering another attempt to sign the player in the future.
