AEW Opens More Sections For Revolution Hours Before Show

Tony Khan spent the week promoting AEW Revolution as a massive event in Los Angeles, and the ticket situation took another turn just hours before the show started.

Heading into the pay-per-view at Crypto.com Arena, ticket tracker WrestleTix reported that the event had effectively sold out its configured setup. According to the update shared earlier in the afternoon, the show had distributed 12,258 tickets with no standard tickets left available.

That report suggested the current seating configuration for the arena had been completely claimed ahead of bell time. However, the situation changed shortly afterward. WrestleTix provided another update revealing that additional seats were opened on the map late in the day, giving fans another opportunity to purchase tickets before the show began.

The update noted that new sections were added to the seating chart and that the tickets were priced at a lower entry point. The newly released seats were listed at $34.83 each, and the tracker indicated they would be included in the next official ticket update once they were counted toward the overall numbers.

Opening additional sections late is not unusual for major events. Promotions often release seats that were previously held for production, camera placement, or other logistical needs once the final layout of the arena becomes clear.

With the main event set to feature MJF defending his title against Hangman Adam Page in a Texas Death Match, AEW appears to be making every possible seat available before the show gets underway. It will be interesting to see where the final ticket distribution lands once the event begins and the last-minute seats are fully counted.

What do you think about AEW opening more sections right before Revolution began? Do you see that as a smart move to maximize attendance, or does it change how fans view a reported sellout? Let us know your thoughts in the comments and join the discussion.
