Manchester United took a huge step towards qualification for next season’s Champions League by beating Aston Villa on Saturday afternoon.
After a goalless first half, midfielder Casemiro put the hosts in front at Old Trafford, before Ross Barkley drew Villa level.
Matheus Cunha then restored United’s advantage, and Benjamin Sesko added a third late on to continue his recent good form and secure all three points for the Red Devils.
Michael Carrick’s side now sit third in the Premier League table and boast a five-point lead over fifth-placed Liverpool, with only a place in the top four enough to guarantee qualification for next term’s Champions League as things stand.
Next up for United is a trip to the south coast to face Bournemouth on Friday evening, but in the meantime it has emerged that the Manchester outfit are eyeing a potential move to sign a talented Belgian midfielder.
As per Fussball Daten, via CaughtOffside, both Manchester United and Premier League rivals Tottenham Hotspur are interested in Anderlecht midfielder, Nathan De Cat.

The report claims that the two Premier League sides have both sent scouts to watch the Belgian midfielder in action in recent months, and Anderlecht could be willing to sell him this summer.
It is claimed that De Cat could be available for a fee of less than £30 million when the transfer window reopens, which could prove tempting for English clubs.
The 17-year-old is a product of Anderlecht’s fruitful youth academy and has already played 44 times for the club at senior level.
He has netted four goals and provided five assists in that time, but his impressive displays have attracted interest from elsewhere and, with the player’s contract set to expire next year, the Belgian giants could struggle to keep hold of the teenager.
