Multiple sources are announcing him as “hailing from Croatia” and “Croatian-born,” emphasizing his nationality in his announcement.
Valorant already has agents from Turkey, India, Brazil, and many other nations in its universe, and with the addition of a Croatian agent, it is further emphasizing its presence in Central and Eastern Europe.
Riot’s narrative beats have also linked Miks’ Croatian heritage to music culture and nightlife, making him out to be a high-energy, social personality whose life has been defined by music before Valorant. His musical abilities have been described by the developers as an extension of this personality, using sound waves as protective and aggressive tools in the heat of battle.
