What’s happening Monday at the Miami Open presented by Itaú?
– Florida Tennis

Who’s ready for a big week ahead at the Miami Open presented by Itaú? Florida Tennis is — along with all the fans excited for the second half of the Sunshine Double! However, due to rain, all matches were canceled yesterday. Therefore, Monday’s order of play will now feature the first round of both men’s and women’s qualifying for a total of 48 matches on the schedule. It’s going to be a big day at Hard Rock Stadium!

In addition, the WTA draw was released Sunday afternoon. Three of last year’s semifinalists are in the top half of the draw, led by defending champion Aryna Sabalenka, who is the No. 1 seed. Her path to repeat could include taking on last year’s semifinal opponent Jasmine Paolini in the quarterfinals and a possible rematch of last year’s final against Jessica Pegula in the semifinals.

Also looming on that half of the draw is Elena Rybakina, who is seeded third but has climbed to No. 2 in the rankings. The fourth 2025 semifinalist, Alex Eala, is a possible third round opponent for second seed Iga Swiatek on the bottom half of the draw, while a potential all-American showdown looms in the other quarter between No. 4 Coco Gauff and No. 6 Amanda Anisimova.

To accommodate all the matches cancelled on Sunday due to rain, play will begin today at 10 a.m. and the schedule looks amazing (details below)…
