Tyson Fury vs Anthony Joshua ‘agreed’ with broadcaster revealed

A long-awaited British heavyweight battle between Tyson Fury and Anthony Joshua is certain to happen, a top pundit has claimed.

Fury and Joshua have been linked to a showdown for over a decade, although a much-sought after meeting has failed to materialise, despite several negotiations over the years.

However, according to talkSPORT pundit, Gareth A Davies the pair have “agreed” to finally meet with the bout set to be broadcast on streaming giant Netflix.

“The Fury-Joshua fight is signed,” Davies said on talkSPORT.

“They are moving towards it.

“It’s with the big-money people.

“It will be on Netflix.

“[It’s] agreed. They are moving towards it.

“They both want the fight.”

Tyson Fury will face Arslanbek Makhmudov on April 11, live on Netflix

Davies believes the bout will happen later this year or early next year, with ‘AJ’ set to have a fight this summer, according to the 36-year-old’s promoter Eddie Hearn.

‘The Gypsy King’ announced his return to boxing in January after over 12 months in retirement and will make his comeback against Arslanbek Makhmudov at the Tottenham Hotspur Stadium on April 11, live on Netflix.

Joshua, who stopped Jake Paul in December, has returned to training following a fatal car accident in Nigeria 10 days after his win over Paul, which took the lives of two of his close friends and left him with minor injuries.

Fury revealed that his rival’s tragic accident inspired his latest comeback.

“The biggest turning point in this comeback for me was a tragedy that happened with Anthony Joshua,” the 37-year-old said last month.

“I was on holiday with my family in Thailand for Christmas and then I heard all that bad news and I thought life is very, very short and very precious and very fragile.

“Anything can happen at any given moment.

“Tomorrow is not promised to nobody, so we have to live for today.

“I made my mind up there and then that I’m going to come back to boxing.”
