Randy Orton’s chilling message on RAW wasn’t the only thing people were talking about — fans immediately locked in on one mystery: who was he on the phone with?
After the March 16, 2026 episode of RAW, speculation exploded online as viewers tried to piece together the identity of the person Orton spoke to before telling Michael Cole, “I’m a killer.” The cryptic moment, combined with his “more than one royal family” line, sent fans into full theory mode.
One fan instantly jumped to one name they desperately want back in the mix — Kevin Owens — tying the moment to their past history: “PLEASE I’LL TAKE ANYTHING I WANT KEVIN BACK.” Others went bigger, connecting Orton to top-level power players and even throwing out wild possibilities — including The Rock and even Ted DiBiase Jr.
“Randy is for sure working with The Rock—how could he not? Or is he talking to Ted DiBiase Jr. from prison? Who the f*** can it be?”
Another fan tried to break things down more logically, focusing on Randy Orton’s “royal family” comment and eliminating certain names while narrowing the field.
“The hint being Wrestling having more than 1 royal family. I think immediately eliminates KO. And Teddy being in jail eliminates him. So imo it’s either Rock, Flair or Arn Anderson”
Some took a broader approach, throwing out multiple legacy names tied to wrestling families — while also entertaining the idea that the Apex Predator might be playing mind games.
“@RandyOrton says more than 1 royal fam. IT could B any1. MayB ‘Roman’, mayB return of some1 else..B funny if it’s a ‘Flair’ or a ‘McMahon’ or Randy could B talking 2 one of his voices (he has wrestling ties 2)..we shall see @wwe Been watching wrestling a long time (just thinking)”
And of course, a different fan circled right back to Kevin Owens again, pointing to their history and trying to connect the dots despite his injury status: “Saying ‘OK’ made me think ‘KO’. KO was injured fighting Cody. KO was Orton’s former partner. But probably not given injury.”
All of this comes after Orton’s shocking heel turn on Cody Rhodes and his ominous message on RAW, where he hinted that his actions were justified and doubled down on his identity as a “killer.” WWE clearly left breadcrumbs — and now fans are running with every possible theory heading into WrestleMania season.
