A new analysis has revealed which fighters earn the most money for every punch they land — and Anthony Joshua sits firmly at the top of the list.
According to research conducted by 247Bet, Joshua’s punches are the most valuable in boxing today, earning the British heavyweight an astonishing £172,346 for every punch landed during his professional career.
The study analyzed 25 active boxers and compared their total career earnings with the number of punches they have landed in fights to determine the sport’s most efficient earners.
The findings arrive as speculation intensifies around a long-awaited showdown between Joshua and rival heavyweight Tyson Fury, which boxing journalist Gareth A Davies recently claimed has been “agreed” during a report on talkSPORT.
The full research from 247Bet established which active fighters were the most efficient earners, by comparing the total amount of prize money earned against the total number of punches landed by 25 professional boxers.
Anthony Joshua’s Punches Worth Over £170K Each
Joshua’s place at the top of the list reflects the enormous financial success he has enjoyed since turning professional.
Across a 33-fight career, the former unified heavyweight champion has earned approximately £394.5 million while landing 2,289 punches on opponents.
When those numbers are compared, each punch landed by Joshua is valued at £172,346, making it the most valuable punch in the sport.
Tyson Fury Also Earns Six Figures Per Punch
While Joshua leads the rankings, fellow heavyweight superstar Tyson Fury also lands in the top tier.
The reigning lineal heavyweight champion ranks third overall, with each of his punches worth £147,559.
Fury has landed 2,458 punches during his career, contributing to approximately £362.7 million in earnings.
Despite those massive numbers, Joshua’s punches are still worth £24,787 more than Fury’s, highlighting the financial scale that a potential megafight between the two British rivals could generate.
Jake Paul Ranked Second in Surprising Result
One of the most surprising results from the study involves crossover boxing star Jake Paul.
Despite having only 11 professional fights, Paul ranks second on the list thanks to enormous paydays early in his career.
The YouTube star-turned-fighter has reportedly earned £132 million while landing just 812 punches, giving him a remarkable £162,562 per punch ratio.
Usyk and Wilder Round Out the Top Five
Two more heavyweight stars round out the top five most valuable punch earners.
Undisputed heavyweight champion Oleksandr Usyk averages £107,543 per landed punch, while knockout specialist Deontay Wilder earns approximately £65,554 per punch.
Both fighters have built reputations as elite heavyweights and global stars, contributing to their significant career earnings.
A Joshua vs Fury Fight Could Break Even More Records
With Joshua’s punches already more valuable than Fury’s, the financial implications of a long-rumored fight between the two British heavyweights are enormous.
If the bout officially takes place, it could easily become one of the most lucrative boxing events in history, potentially driving those punch values even higher.
