Cinco de Mayo weekend in Las Vegas is about to explode.
A stacked pay-per-view lineup featuring all-Mexican clashes is headlined by David Benavidez vs. Gilberto Ramirez—but the undercard might be just as dangerous.
From title fights to unbeaten showdowns, this card is built for chaos, pride, and unforgettable moments.
Reséndiz vs Munguía: A Fight for Control of 168
At the center of the undercard is a high-stakes world title clash between Armando Resendiz and Jaime Munguia.
Reséndiz enters as the WBA super middleweight champion, still riding the momentum of his breakout win over Caleb Plant. But Munguía brings something just as dangerous—experience, power, and a history of big fights.
“I’m very happy to be stepping into the ring with a great fighter like Jaime Munguia, who’s been competing at this level for a long time,” said Reséndiz.
“For me, this is a big challenge and a huge motivation. These are the kinds of fights I’ve always dreamed about — facing the best names in the sport and proving that I belong at this level.”
Munguía, chasing a second division title, sees this as his moment.
“I’m very excited to be back, especially to fight for a world title against a fellow Mexican,” said Munguía.
“I’m truly grateful to my team, and everyone who made this fight possible. We’re ready to come out victorious on this great night for Mexico!”
Duarte vs Fierro: Expect a War
If there’s a guaranteed action fight, it’s Oscar Duarte vs Angel Fierro.
Both fighters are known for pressure, power, and refusing to take a step back.
“I’m very happy and motivated for this fight on May 2 in Las Vegas,” said Duarte.
“This is a great event that falls on a very meaningful date for all Mexicans, which makes it even more special to me… When two Mexicans step into the ring, people know it’s gonna be a great fight. We’re both going to give it everything we have and I’m sure it will be a war that fans will truly enjoy.”
Fierro isn’t backing down.
“I’m very grateful to my team for this great opportunity,” said Fierro.
“We’re ready to return to Las Vegas and deliver a great fight and a surprise… I have a lot of respect for Oscar Duarte… so I know this fight is going to be explosive.”
Undefeated vs Undefeated: Lucero vs Sandoval
One of the most intriguing matchups comes in the opening bout, where two unbeaten fighters collide: Isaac Lucero vs Alan Sandoval.
Lucero brings knockout momentum into the fight—but Sandoval believes experience will be the difference.
“I’m very grateful to my team, and everyone who worked to make this possible,” said Lucero.
“Fighting on Cinco de Mayo weekend is every Mexican boxer’s dream… This card will be ‘Puro México!’”
Sandoval is just as confident heading into his U.S. debut.
“I’m highly motivated by this tremendous opportunity and I have no intention of letting it slip away,” said Sandoval.
“I have more experience than Isaac and I’ve been having the best training camp of my career. Competing in an event Cinco de Mayo Weekend is a dream come true. I have no doubt that this will be a great fight. Neither of us wants to lose, but I am confident I will be the one walking away with my hand raised.”
Why This Card Feels Different
This isn’t just another fight night.
It’s Mexico vs. Mexico across the board—fighters with pride, power, and everything to prove.
No gimmicks. No easy fights. Just high-stakes matchups where someone’s rise ends—and someone else’s legacy begins.
And on Cinco de Mayo weekend, that means something more.
