Francis Amuzu scores as Gremio see off Vitoria – Ghana Latest Football News, Live Scores, Results

Belgian-Ghanaian winger Francis Amuzu scored his first Brazilian Serie A goal for Gremio in a confident 2–0 home win over Vitoria at Arena do Grêmio.

The 26-year-old struck in the 54th minute, drifting into space at the back post to meet a precise cross from right-back Weverton before guiding his finish past the goalkeeper to double the hosts’ advantage.

Gremio had already taken the lead in the first half when Vitoria defender Camutanga turned the ball into his own net under pressure, handing the home side control after 27 minutes. From there, Renato Portaluppi’s team managed the game well, limiting Vitoria to half chances while looking dangerous in transition, with Amuzu a constant outlet on the left.

Amuzu’s bright display continues a solid 2026 campaign in Brazil’s top flight, where he has now made 6 league appearances, contributing 1 goal and 2 assists for Gremio.

The victory keeps Imortal Tricolor on track near the top half of the table as they turn their focus to a tricky next Serie A fixture away to Vasco da Gama on Sunday, 22 March 2026.
