The Volvo Trucks Experience Center in Gothenburg is set to make its debut in Euro Truck Simulator.
- Volvo Trucks Experience Center will be added to ETS 2
- New location will appear in the game’s v1.59 update
A new location will be added to Euro Truck Simulator 2, with the Volvo Trucks Experience Center set to make its debut.
Located near Gothenburg, Sweden, the VTEX (the actual acronym, VTEC, is much too revvy for trucks) is a purpose-built facility that allows Volvo Trucks customers to experience the brand’s storied history and innovative approach to engineering.
Developer SCS Software has already used the VTEX to both scan and record audio for previously added Volvo trucks, with more likely to be added in future.
The on-site auditorium is the perfect place to learn about upcoming products and conduct safety presentations, but the real interest for ETS 2 players will come from the site’s test roads.

These private stretches of asphalt allow prospective customers to get behind the wheel of Volvo trucks in a safe and controlled manner, with instructors on hand to assist with any queries or tutorials.
The test roads will be replicated in-game, offering a different set of challenges for virtual truckers, and will be made available for free in the game’s upcoming v1.59 update for owners of the Scandinavia DLC.
