Chelsea Green Claims She’s Still AAA Champion Despite Loss

Chelsea Green isn’t backing down from her claim to championship gold, even after the AAA Mixed Tag Team Titles changed hands — and she made her stance loud and clear during a recent appearance.

During AAA Rey De Reyes, Green addressed the situation surrounding the AAA Mixed Tag Team Championship, insisting that she never personally lost her half of the titles. The situation dates back to November, when Green and Ethan Page captured the Mixed AAA Tag Team Titles at Alianzas in Monterrey, Mexico.

Things changed in February when Green suffered an ankle injury that forced her out of action. Instead of defending the titles alongside her, Page teamed with La Hiedra against Lola Vice and Mr. Iguana. That match ended in defeat, officially crowning Vice and Iguana as the new champions — but Green clearly believes the outcome shouldn’t count against her. While addressing Lola Vice directly during the segment, Green made her argument clear and took a shot at how the titles were lost.

“Felicia. Daddy’s Lola. But there’s just one small problem. I never lost my mixed tag team championship. No. I was injured. And let the record show that Ethan Page and Liedra lost the championships, not Chelsea Green. Typical of a man to mess everything up.”

Green didn’t stop there. She went on to declare that she doesn’t need a male partner and demanded official recognition as champion in her own right.

“I. I don’t need a man. No. So, Triple A A, acknowledge me as your first ever, longest reigning, most dangerous United States Women’s champion. Two time tag team champion and current undisputed, undefeated, mixed triple. Ah, ah, Ah. Tag team women’s champion, Chelsea Green.”

Green has remained visible on WWE SmackDown despite being sidelined with an ankle injury since early February, often appearing in a wheelchair while continuing to play into her outspoken character.

Her latest comments make it clear she takes issue with Lola Vice being recognized as the women’s half of the AAA Mixed Tag Team Champions. That tension now appears to be setting the stage for a direct showdown between the two.

Questions remain about how AAA will handle the situation if a match does happen. If Green manages to win back recognition as champion, it could create an unusual scenario regarding who she would team with, especially after stating that she doesn’t need a male partner.

For now, the situation appears headed toward a confrontation between Green and Vice, with the championship status hanging in the balance.

Do you think Chelsea Green has a valid argument about never losing her championship, or should Lola Vice remain recognized as the rightful champion? Let us know your thoughts and leave your feedback below.
