The Cleveland Browns continue to see changes from last year’s roster. While the Browns offense was in desperate need of a turnover, the Cleveland defense had a lot of pieces in place for success. The 2026 offseason started with two Browns defenders, LB Devin Bush and DE Cameron Thomas, departing in free agency. GM Andrew Berry filled Bush’s role with the signing of LB Quincy Williams, but the departures on that side of the ball have continued.
At the start of the NFL league year, Cleveland allowed three players to hit unrestricted free agency instead of tendering them with a restricted free agent tag:

While Whiteheart remains on the market and Kamara recently returned to the Browns, Diabate has found a new home with the Tennessee Titans:
As noted, Diabate played a lot of games for Cleveland in his three seasons, including seeing snaps in over 45% of the team’s special teams plays, 62% as a rookie in 2023. A very athletic player, Diabate was an undrafted free agent in 2023. According to Pro Football Focus, Diabate was a good run defender (68.0), playing alongside Rookie of the Year Carson Schwesinger.
Do you think the Browns should have tendered Diabate for another season or made room for a younger player, particularly in the 2026 NFL draft?
