As a beloved reporter of the Minnesota Wild, the 37-year-old’s death was confirmed by the team in a post on X on Sunday.

“The Minnesota Wild organization is heartbroken by the tragic loss of Jessi Pierce and her children. Jessi was a kind, compassionate person that cared deeply about her family and those around her,” the statement read.
“She served as a dedicated ambassador for the game of hockey during her time covering the Wild and the NHL.
“Jessi and her children will be greatly missed. Our thoughts and deepest condolences go out to their family, friends, and all who knew and loved them.”

Neigbhours reported fire
The four were found dead along with their dog by firefighters in White Bear Lake after a fire tore through their home early Saturday morning, FOX 9 reported.
Neighbours had called 911 after seeing the roof of the home on fire, and said people were likely inside, White Bear Lake Fire Department said in a news release.
“Upon arrival, crews found a fully involved structural fire and immediately began fire suppression efforts,” it said.
The fire is being investigated by the local fire marshal’s office, the fire department said.
NHL and colleagues share their condolences
The NHL was among the first to respond to news of Pierce’s death, stating, on X: “The entire National Hockey League family sends our prayers and deepest condolences to the Pierce family on the passing of Jessi Pierce and her three young children.”

Pierce was also the host of the Bardown Beauties podcast, in which she covered the Minnesota Wild with co-host, Kirsten Krull.
Krull paid tribute to Pierce in a lengthy post on X, calling her a “big sister” with an “unmatched work ethic and a huge heart.
“Any time I needed help, needed to rant, or needed someone she was there without hesitation. Most importantly, she was the best mom and loved her kids and family fiercely,” Krull wrote.

The Athletic reporter Michael Russo also mourned the loss of Pierce on X, calling her “the most vibrant person – the life of the party, always with a smile on her face, always bringing a passion to every article and podcast and interview she did.”
