Usually, the Road to WrestleMania sees WWE blur the roster split a bit so that the top stories get equal footing on Raw and SmackDown. However, this year, WWE has been keeping both brands pretty distinct. With the exception of SmackDown Superstar Roman Reigns being a regular on Raw due to his Royal Rumble win, most contracted talents are sticking to their brands. However, there are a few Superstars who are able to show up anywhere...and some do. The WWE website officially updated their roster. Now, WWE lists free agents, and they’re all top stars (or at least, top merchandise sellers).
Brock Lesnar
Brock Lesnar is an attraction and is not bound to a brand. In fact, Brock Lesnar was listed as a free agent after the last WWE Draft, back in 2024. At the time, Brock Lesnar was a contracted talent, but was kept off of television due to his ties to the Vince McMahon-Janel Grant sex trafficking case.
Since Brock Lesnar’s latest return, he’s been on Raw. Brock Lesnar has taken on the role of a mercenary for Paul Heyman, a Raw regular. In fact, Brock Lesnar was ready to challenge Seth Rollins at WrestleMania.
However, Oba Femi stepped up to the plate to accept Brock Lesnar’s WrestleMania Open Challenge. Therefore, two non-branded talents will clash at the Showcase of Immortals, as WWE lists Oba Femi as a free agent, too.
Oba Femi
The Ruler is making quite the impact across WWE TV. Ever since leaving the NXT Title in the middle of the ring, Oba Femi has been courted by Adam Pearce and Nick Aldis to join their brands.
Oba Femi got called up to the main roster following the Royal Rumble. At that event, The Ruler got face-to-face with Brock Lesnar, which drew a massive reaction from the crowd.
WWE has decided to ride the momentum of the Nigerian. Oba Femi has been on SmackDown, taking down the likes of The Miz and Kit Wilson. Meanwhile, he’s also made short work of the Bulgarian Brute Rusev on Raw.
With Oba Femi accepting Brock Lesnar’s challenge, we could probably expect to see him more often on Raw. The Beast Incarnate is advertised for tomorrow’s Raw in Boston. Rest assured, Oba Femi will be in the building.
Oba Femi isn’t the only giant Nigerian to face Brock Lesnar at WrestleMania. Brock Lesnar defeated Omos at WrestleMania 39. Omos has been used sparingly since that loss. However, the Nigerian Giant is also on the WWE list of free agents.
Omos
The last match the WWE Universe saw Omos partake in was the Andre the Giant Memorial Battle Royal in 2024 on SmackDown. Since then, Omos was sent to Pro Wrestling NOAH to serve as a special attraction. Eventually, Omos landed in AAA.
Currently, Omos works as the muscle for El Hijo del Vikingo. Omos is featured regularly as a member of Ojo, supporting Dorian Joaquín Roldán Peña in his quest to reclaim the AAA Mega Championship from Dominik Mysterio.
It’s unknown when Omos will pop up on WWE TV again. However, Omos is a free agent and could appear on any brand.
Danhausen
While Danhausen might not be a star like Brock Lesnar or pegged as the future like Oba Femi, the very nice, very evil free agent is the top merchandise seller. Danhausen has been used sparingly since his lackluster debut from the crate at Elimination Chamber.
However, the teeth collector has turned things around, maximizing his short segments with WWE Superstars. He’s also been very active in his bid to join AJ Styles, Demolition, Stephanie McMahon, and Dennis Rodman in the 2026 Hall of Fame Class.
Danhausen comes out to give T-shirts to the audience (and shill his merch) during commercial breaks. He’s also creating a lot of viral backstage talent with Superstars, including The Bella Twins.
How Are The Bella Twins on Two Shows?
Nikki and Brie Bella have been throwing Danhausen off due to their Twin Magic. However, the new WWE recruit thinks he’s figured them out, calling the duo The Bella Clones. We can see his confusion. While The Bellas are featured regularly on SmackDown, the twins are actually drafted to Raw.
That said, The Bella Twins are expected to challenge for the Women’s Tag Team Titles. These Championships can be defended on either show.
While not official, Brie and Nikki are expected to be in multi-tag action against Charlotte Flair and Alexa Bliss, and the current Champions, The Irresistible Forces.
There are rumors that The Kabuki Warriors could join the action if Asuka doesn’t end up facing Iyo Sky at the Showcase of the Immortals. After all, the WrestleMania 42 card is far from finalized.
