Malaysia Secures a Comfortable 6-Wicket Victory Over Myanmar in Asia Qualifier A

Bangi – Malaysia cruised to a 6-wicket win over Myanmar in the ICC Men’s T20 World Cup Asia Qualifier A on Saturday, 31st August 2024, at the YSD-UKM Cricket Oval. Myanmar’s batting struggled throughout their innings, and Malaysia chased down the modest target with ease to secure their second victory of the tournament.

Myanmar’s Struggles with the Bat:

Myanmar, opting to bat first, could only muster 75/7 in their 20 overs. Pyae Phyo Wai was the top scorer with 26 off 33 balls, but the rest of the batting lineup struggled to get going. Malaysia’s bowlers were disciplined, with Virandeep Singh and Sharvin Muniandy leading the charge.
