Movsar Evloev has reacted to Jean Silva’s recent comments. This past weekend, “Lord” claimed that he’s going to fight current and two-time UFC featherweight titleholder Alexander Volkanovski next and alleged that Hunter Campbell and Dana White called him to be in attendance for UFC London so that he can sign the contract after the event.
During UFC London, Silva was also seen handing some papers to Campbell.
Meanwhile, No. 1 UFC featherweight contender Movsar Evloev strengthened his case for a title shot with a majority decision win over Lerone Murphy this past Saturday. During the post-fight presser, when the undefeated Russian phenom was asked to weigh in on Silva’s recent bold claim, he said:
“He [Jean Silva] is just lying [that he’s going to get the next title shot]”

MMA manager lauds Movsar Evloev
Before UFC London, Movsar Evloev’s manager, Ali Abdelaziz, had made it clear that the former needs to secure a finish against Lerone Murphy if he wants to get a title shot next.
Although Evloev didn’t secure a KO/TKO or submission victory, he put on an entertaining performance, stepping away from his wrestling-heavy approach and choosing to trade with knockout artist Murphy for most of the 25 minutes.
Earlier today on X, Abdelaziz lauded Evloev and added that the promotion is very happy with his most recent performance:
“The game has changed for all young fighters. Winning alone is not enough anymore. It’s about how you fight, how you make a statement, and how you show that you are a complete fighter. That’s exactly what Movsar did on Saturday night. One thing I can tell you is that everyone is happy. The UFC is happy, and they’ve been very complimentary about his performance For the first time and I’m very grateful.”
