The 2026 Red Bull Tennessee Nationals

The Red Bull Tennessee National downhill race took place at Windrock Bike Park in Tennessee over the weekend.

Austin Dooley and Aletha Ostgaard were the big winners in the Elite Men’s and Women’s finals. Austin is now 24. Aletha is only 18 years old, while Raina Logar, who placed third, is only 17. In between them was Kailey Skelton, who has been one of America’s top downhill women for years. Kailey’s racing age is now 26, according to the UCI results shown below.

The big surprise of the weekend was that 39-year-old Aaron Gwin set the fastest time in the seeding round on Saturday, with Luca Shaw, who is now 30 years old,  close behind him.

Nevertheless, when it came down to the finals on Sunday, both Gwin and Shaw had disastrous runs that placed them much farther down in the list of finishers. Shaw ended up 48th in the finals, and Gwin ended up 68th.

Aiden Chapin, who served as a Mountain Bike Action test rider for several years and even worked in the MBA office a few years ago, finished 14th for the day. He’s now 24 years old.
