ALLENTOWN, Pa. — Rising lightweight contender Antonio Perez will defend his undefeated record when he headlines a major fight night presented by Red Owl Boxing on Friday, April 3.

The event will stream live worldwide on DAZN and features a championship clash between Perez and seasoned veteran Abraham Montoya for the WBC USA Silver Lightweight Title, sanctioned by the World Boxing Council.

Undefeated Prospect Faces Experienced Veteran

Perez (11-0, 5 KOs), fighting out of Harrisburg, Pennsylvania, enters the bout as one of the region’s fastest-rising young fighters. The 24-year-old has already built an impressive résumé during his five-year professional career.

Among his most notable victories are wins over Nigel Fennell, Haskell Rhodes, and Antonio Williams. Perez most recently earned an eight-round unanimous decision over Alex Martin on June 6, 2025, in Houston.

Standing across from him will be battle-tested veteran Montoya (23-7-1, 14 KOs) of Mexicali, Mexico. The 31-year-old brings 12 years of professional experience and a history of competing against elite opposition.

Montoya owns victories over several notable fighters, including future world champion Luis Alberto Lopez, Ricardo Lara, Julio Barraza, Alejandro Guerrero, and former interim world champion Joseph Diaz.

In his most recent bout, Montoya dropped a competitive 10-round decision to undefeated contender Tsendbatar Erdenebat on November 21, 2025 in Fort Lauderdale, Florida.

Co-Main Event Features Ranked Bantamweight

In the eight-round co-feature, unbeaten bantamweight Emanuel Moreno (12-0, 3 KOs) of Wichita Falls, Texas will square off against Mexico’s Francisco Pedroza Portillo (20-13-2, 11 KOs).

Moreno enters the contest as the WBA Continental Americas champion and is currently ranked No. 13 by the World Boxing Association.

Several emerging prospects and decorated amateurs will also appear on the April 3 card.
