A Massachusetts man who beat and stabbed a woman to death while her infant son was in a crib in the next room has been granted parole.

Kurvin Richardson was convicted of the 1990 murder of 18-year-old Noemi Roman in her Boston home, though he evaded capture until DNA evidence connected him to the crime in 2004.
