Big Shakeup in the Latest UCI Rankings

America’s Christopher Blevins has dropped to third in the latest UCI Elite Men’s Cross-country rankings.

Blevins won both Elite Men’s UCI cross-country titles last year: the XCO (Cross-country Olympic) and the XCC (also known as the Short Track Cross-country).

As a result, Blevins spent weeks at the top of the UCI Cross-country rankings, but he recently got passed by Fabio Püntener. Now, in the latest points rankings from the UCI, released Tuesday, March 24th, Blevins has also been passed by U23 XC star Finn Treudler of Switzerland, so Blevins is now sitting in third in the UCI points rankings. What’s more, Blevins is now only six points ahead of Martin Vidaurre Kossman and only 11 points ahead of Simone Avondetto, so Blevins might get passed again in the coming months. It’s not easy to stay ranked as the best in the world.
