After wrestling at art exhibits, on the independents, and in dark matches for Ring of Honor and AEW, Borden’s work with the U.S. wing of New Japan Pro-Wrestling led to his first match for AEW’s big overseas partner.
El Hijo de Sting was in tag action once again at the NJPW Academy 3rd Anniversary Showcase last Saturday (March 21), teaming with Allan Breeze against Hitt and Vin Parker. Borden pinned Parker to win the match after Breeze handled the bulk of the match, but did get a chance to work with the much larger Hitt on his way to the finish. Fans of his father will recognize some of Steven the younger’s moves in a video chronicling the entire 3rd Anniversary Showcase event originally shared by Bighorn Blockbuster on YouTube, and making the rounds on social media via clips from that video like this one:
