Mox and Ospreay trade threats ahead of AEW Dynasty

AEW didn’t have their first PPV event of 2026 until March, but they’re picking up the pace with Dynasty coming less a month after Revolution. April 12 is only two-and-a-half weeks away too, which is why Dynamite tonight (March 25) officially added two more matches to the card for Vancouver.

Neither was a huge surprise, at least not after Kenny Omega defeated Swerve Strickland in the show’s opener to retain his EVP position and take Strickland’s status as #1 contender for the Men’s World title. AEW quickly made that official for the PPV in Omega’s home country, despite champion Maxwell Jacob Friedman big-timing the man reluctantly accepting the mantle of “God of Pro Wrestling” for his fight with the self-proclaimed Devil…

Later, it was announced they’ll have a no-physicality-allowed contract signing next week. That happened in a segment where Speedball Mike Bailey shook Kenny’s hand for an awkwardly long time:

Elsewhere on the show, Will Ospreay and Jon Moxley traded promos recapping their issues, which in-story are that Mox broke Ospreay’s neck at Forbidden Door in London last year with Bruv’s whole family in attendance:

After an impromptu mixed trios win over SkyFlight on the Martin brothers’ home turf of Minnesota, Moxley responded with a message of his own. Shortly after he ended on an ominous note, AEW put up a Revolution match graphic for Mox vs. Ospreay. There was no mention of Moxley’s Contitinental title in it, or either man’s promo.

And with, the card for April 12 looks like so:
