Manchester, UK (March 26th, 2026)– Rising heavyweight phenom Moses Itauma, 21, (13-0, 11 KOs) is set to face his toughest test to date against American veteran Jermaine Franklin, 32, (24-2, 15 KOs) this Saturday, March 28, 2026. The 12-round clash headlines the “Magnificent 7” card at the Co-op Live arena in Manchester.

Originally scheduled for January, the fight was postponed after Itauma suffered a bicep tear during training. Now fully recovered, the 21-year-old seeks to continue his rapid ascent toward a world title shot by dispatching an opponent who has only ever lost by decision to former champions Anthony Joshua and Dillian Whyte.

Known as “The Wrecking Ball,” Moses Itauma has won his last three fights by knockout, spending a total of only 7 minutes and 42 seconds in the ring during those bouts. His most recent victory was a first-round demolition of a tough veteran contender, Dillian Whyte, in August 2025.

Jermaine Franklin provides the perfect test for Itauma. Franklin is highly experienced and has proven he can take the best shots from world-class punchers. He aims to frustrate the younger fighter, capitalize on late-round fatigue, and use his counter-punching to cause a possible upset.
