VIDEO – Top WWE Star’s Awkward Fan Encounter Goes Viral

There is no denying that WWE star John Cena loves his fans. From every fan meet-and-greet to his public encounters, they are all positive. However, there is always that one occasional fan who does not understand boundaries.

A video taken by Harry Daniels is going viral on social media. Daniels is seen walking up to Cena, who is minding his own business in a small cafe. Rather than introducing himself and asking permission, Daniels begins singing.

Cena, being the gentleman he is, can be heard saying, “I’m gonna start with a hello, how you doing? Nice to meet you, I’m John. You like to sing now? For what purpose? I’m not buying what you’re selling.”

Regardless of how awkward it looked, Cena remained calm and walked away. The video was originally uploaded to Daniels’ Instagram with the caption, “Ok this ones on me cuz i had no decorum my bad sorry john cena”

John Cena’s Next Role In WWE

While Cena’s in-ring career is over, he’s not done with WWE. Speaking at MegaCon 2026, he revealed that he’s working on something. Cena said,

“These panels are great, because I always give like one piece of information that the world catches and then it makes the headlines the next day. This is that moment. I am working diligently to try to figure out my next path as a contributing, useful member of WWE. I think I might cracked the code, and I think we have something. And if the stars align and everybody signs off, I will be a whole lot more integrated in the system. And I’m very excited about the road ahead, and I’m just crossing my fingers that it works.”

He also talked about his match with AJ Styles at Crown Jewel. Cena said,

The atmosphere in Perth was like something I’d never seen. I’d never seen that many T-shirts. I know for a fact we didn’t give them away, but it’s like we gave them away. I wore yellow that night, and the whole crowd was yellow. I’m used to you know, 50/50 or sometimes people will wear an older shirt. So the atmosphere I think really swept everybody up. And because the audience was smart enough to understand what we were doing as well? You can do all this cool stuff that you think is cool, but if you guys don’t get it, I’m kind of being selfish.
