Chelsea boss Liam Rosenior is under pressure heading into the international break after four consecutive defeats for his side.
The Blues were humiliated in the last 16 of the Champions League with holders Paris Saint-Germain defeating them 8-2 on aggregate, and Rosenior’s side were then beaten 3-0 by Everton in the Premier League on Saturday.
That result leaves them sixth in the top flight standings, although they are six points behind fourth-placed Aston Villa in the race for Champions League qualification.
Now, it has emerged that one of Chelsea’s transfer targets could soon sign a new contract with his current club.
According to Italian outlet Gazzetta dello Sport, via CaughtOffside, Juventus striker Dusan Vlahovic could sign a new contract with the Italian giants despite being heavily linked with a move away from the club in recent months.
Vlahovic joined the Old Lady from fellow Serie A side Fiorentina in 2022 and has since scored 64 goals in 163 matches for the club across all competitions.
The player’s contract is set to expire this summer, though, and he had been expected to leave Turin at the end of the current campaign.

Now, though, it is claimed that progress has been made on a possible new deal, damaging Chelsea’s hopes of signing the Serbia international.
Chelsea’s fierce London rivals Tottenham Hotspur were also created with an interest in the Serbian, who has scored six times in 18 games so far this term.
It is claimed that both the Blues and the Lilywhites had identified Vlahovic as a possible candidate to bolster their respective squads in attack, with the forward boasting a proven record of scoring regularly at the highest level.
Now, though, it appears that the Serbian could commit his future to his current club.
