Teddy Sheringham praised after voicing strong concerns over Tottenham’s current situation

Teddy Sheringham has been praised by fans after voicing strong concerns over Tottenham’s current situation, with a video via social media.

A TikTok video from @wearepeek featured the former Spurs worried for the club, their poor form, management and relegation battle.

He’s urged a manager to come in and quickly build confidence, show the players love, put them in their best positions, and get the team gelling together, something that has gone lacking.

@wearepeek It might be the international break…but Teddy has still got his mind on Tottenham!! #wearepeek #spurs #tottenham #teddysheringham ♬ original sound – Peek

In the video, he said: “I’m concerned about Tottenham Hotspur. Just been playing golf with the boys, you’ve seen that. Simon Davis was a, is a Tottenham fan, Buzzer, Tottenham fan. Ging, Ging didn’t care. He’s a West Ham boy, he wants us to, he wants him to go down rather than West Ham, doesn’t he? So he don’t care, but we’re concerned.

“You know, why has it all gone quiet at Tottenham Hotspur? It’s the England international break, obviously the Welsh are playing as well, but it’s the international break and it’s all seemed to have gone quiet at Tottenham.

“Tell you what needs to be done, if this fella is getting the sack, which he should be, you know, let’s look at the results on the football pitch and let’s have a look what’s been going on.

“I think he’s got one point in six games, is it? Might be five games, I’m not sure, but one point in that time and the team looking disarrayed still.

“So let’s assess that, he needs to go. Now I’m hearing that they’re having talks with another foreign guy that used to manage Monaco. He’s from Austria, I think, that used to manage Monaco.

“What does this guy know about the Premier League? What does this guy know about the Premier League players, about the stadiums, about the pitches, about the players that he’s got at his disposal?

“What the hell is going on at Tottenham Hotspur? Why are they looking down the foreign route that knows nothing about the football club or the league that he’s going to be playing in?

“Please do not make this mistake again. I don’t know who’s making these decisions to go and speak to these people, but it’s wrong.

“Have a look at what’s going on and what’s needed. All it needs is a bit of love towards the players, a little bit of confidence boost, because we have got very, very good players at the football club.

“Put them in their rightful positions, a manager that knows what their rightful positions are and who gels with each other.

“Work it out. He needs to go in now. I know everybody’s away on international duty, but he needs to go in now to understand the football club, get around the football club, talk to people in the football club, find out what’s the missing link, find out what the problem is.

“He needs to go in now, not at the end of the international break, so two days before and he goes in and then he’s got two days to work it.

“There’s people there that he can start influencing, getting his point across, getting a wave of what he wants to be happening when all the international players come back and they’re ready to play. It needs to be done now.

“Why are you dithering? It needs to be done, otherwise you’re getting relegated.”

As mentioned, Teddy Sheringham has been praised after voicing strong concerns over Tottenham’s current situation…

@ajb_79: Sheringham is doing what all of the other supposed legends of the club should be doing and using his voice. Would be good if the others followed suit and called the club out for the shambles it is #thfc

@harwood_steve: @SpursOfficial look listen and do what it is needed THIS IS SPOT ON FROM A PLAYER THAT KNOWS

@GS_spacecollect: Totally agree, it’s about time we got a manager at Spurs that has a knowledge of the clubs history and builds morale and sets the boys on a more positive footing. If they have ever been to a match at Tottenham then sign them up ASAP. #COYS

@Spurs_azittiz: Well said, Teddy. Are you listening, @SpursOfficial? No, probably not. You don’t listen to anything except banknotes. But, if by some miracle you are, please do what this legend says. It’s common sense. PROVE YOU ARE WORTHY & ACTUALLY GIVE A FUCK ABOUT THIS CLUB! #TTID #Spurs

@Timo_C15: Wooooah Teddy Teddy. Love this from him. Where’s all the others who used to have a go at fans who criticised the board and club? They all seel to be hiding now it’s all goung south

@AndyKinch1: He knows it. We know it. What the hell is the board doing? We are a rudderless ship heading towards the rocks. I’ve never known such incompetence.

@SussexTottenham: Others like Roberts and Hazard don’t speak out because they’ll lose their Saturday job. I know it sounds harsh because hazard is probably a good bloke but the reality is the future of this club could potentially be at stake here and none of them have said a word/ Nothing

@SJGTHFC: Well said Teddy 👏🏻

@debsbaxter: He’s spot on here

@ajb_79: He gets it. He has a better chance of being heard than the supporters do

@JP1976THFC: Yet fans don’t want to protest , at the end of the day there is a massive majority of stadium experience fans who simply don’t cares and that’s the issue. Enic don’t care what teddy says, but if there a massive protest, the owners will take notice

@BigusYidus: Teddy gets it, but unfortunately the powers that be at our club are beyond fucking useless.

@BobHope12000: So. Thus far. Ghod offered. Harry offered. I’m certain Jermaine has. I’m certain Klinsmann did. Now this. And we’re looking at someone called Adolf that no-ones heard of. Also mason I’m certain would. Wtf is the matter with them. Seriously what is the matter with them?

@Ginolas_Barnet: Teddy is bang on here. What you doing @SpursOfficial. Make him club president or someone of his ilk & Tottenham heritage. We need people who know football at the top of the club. We are being run by accountants. Those same people won’t like the spreadsheets when we go down.
