Dodgers Reveal Ring Ceremony Game Lineup vs. Diamondbacks

The Los Angeles Dodgers are hoping to get out to a 2-0 start in 2026 when they host the Arizona Diamondbacks in the second game of the season.

The Dodgers will get their World Series rings on Friday before the game, capping off the end of their title celebrations.

On Opening Day, they rolled out their World Series trophies from 2024 and 2025, the back-to-back titles.

The Dodgers beat the Arizona Diamondbacks 8-2 on Opening Day, in a game that saw stellar pitching and the terrifying offense get clicking in the second half.

Dodgers Lineup Against the Arizona Diamondbacks

1. Shohei Ohtani, DH
2. Kyle Tucker, RF
3. Mookie Betts, SS
4. Freddie Freeman, 1B
5. Will Smith, C
6. Max Muncy, 3B
7. Teoscar Hernandez, LF
8. Andy Pages, CF
9. Alex Freeland, 2B
P. Emmet Sheehan, RHP

Andy Pages went 2-for-4 with three RBIs and a home run, starting his bounce-back season off on a good note. Additionally, Teoscar Hernandez went 1-for-4, giving some quality production for the bottom half of the order.

The Dodgers were aggressive in their at-bats, aiming for pitches early in the count rather than going for a more battle-oriented approach of hoping to get contact by any means.

It led to a slow start, but an explosive finish for the Dodgers, who struggled to wear down Zac Gallen early on, but they managed to eventually get to him when Pages hit his three-run bomb.

The home run opened the floodgates for the Dodgers, who attacked the D-Backs’ bullpen that lacks many lefty arms.

On Friday, the Dodgers will be facing Ryne Nelson, who is another right-handed arm that should struggle against the Dodgers’ lefty-leaning lineup.

The game will be a chance for Alex Freeland to get up and going once again, who just managed to beat out Hyseong Kim in the second base battle.

Kim, who ended up hitting well all spring, is down in Triple-A, while Freeland gets a chance to assert himself in the major leagues in the absence of everyday second baseman Tommy Edman.

As a switch-hitter like Edman, Freeland has a ton of promise, according to scouts, but he needs to start delivering at the plate.
