Keith Thurman CALLS OUT Terence Crawford

Keith Thurman has urged Terence Crawford to come out of retirement to face him.

Thurman and Crawford were previously linked to a showdown when both men competed in the welterweight division.

‘Bud’ called time on his career in December three months after stunning Canelo Alvarez to become the undisputed super middleweight champion.

Ahead of his bid to become a two-weight world champion against WBC super welterweight titlist, Sebastian Fundora on Saturday in Las Vegas, Thurman admits he’d relish an opportunity to face the five-weight world champion if he reversed his retirement.

“We want Bud to come back,” the 37-year-old told reporters on Thursday.

“We want Bud back.

“I never got Crawford, I never got [Errol] Spence.

“If anyone’s going to come back, we’ve got to get Bud back.”

Fundora makes a third defence of his WBC crown against ‘One Time’ at the MGM Grand Garden Arena, live on Amazon Prime pay-per-view.

‘The Towering Inferno’ has won three on the bounce since a seventh round knockout loss to Brian Mendoza and Thurman has vowed to produce a similar display on Saturday.

“There’s always somebody out there who’s got your number,” he said at Thursday’s final press conference.

“And I believe I got it.

“Mendoza, we were just chatting, he gave me the cheat code.

“We’re going to give you that flashback.

“I’ll help you remember come March 28th.

“I’m here to make history.

“This is history in the making come March 28th.”

The former unified welterweight titlist like his rival has only been beaten once in his career to Manny Pacquiao in 2019.

The Florida native bounced back with two straight wins against Mario Barrios and Brock Jarvis respectively.

Fundora, who has a nine-inch height advantage over the challenger, forced Tim Tszyu to retire after seven rounds in his most recent outing last July.
