South Africa’s Test Results at Home – A Summary

South Africa were the third Test to make their debut in the year 1889 and over the decades, they have become one of the integral part of Test cricket. The African nation at one point dominated the Test arena both home and away, challenging the best of sides to a great effect.

Though, they didn’t have the best of starts in the late 1800s and early part of 1900s, but more than made up for that in recent decades. South Africa have the fourth most Test wins as a team (179) and are one of the few sides that have won more than lost (161).

Like all the teams, most of their wins came at home and we will have a glimpse at their Test record at home.
