Lucha Libre AAA presents another edition of Rey de Reyes live from the Auditorio GNP Seguros in Puebla, Mexico. The show is set to feature a AAA World Cruiserweight Championship match, a heated grudge bout, and a major message directed toward WWE Intercontinental Champion Penta.
The AAA World Cruiserweight Championship will be defended in a Fatal Four-Way Match featuring Laredo Kid, Jack Cartwheel, Dragon Lee, and TJ Perkins. With four highly skilled competitors in the ring at once, this matchup is expected to be one of the most action-packed contests of the night.
Abismo Negro will also square off against El Fiscal in singles competition. Their rivalry has intensified over recent weeks, making this a grudge match with plenty of bad blood behind it.
In addition, El Hijo del Vikingo is scheduled to deliver a message to WWE Intercontinental Champion Penta. With tensions continuing to build between the two stars, Vikingo’s statement could have major implications moving forward.
The show kicks off at 10:00 PM ET on FOX in Latin America and is available for international fans on streaming platforms like Facebook and YouTube. AAA World Cruiserweight Championship: Laredo Kid vs. Jack Cartwheel vs. Dragon Lee vs. TJ Perkins
The bell rang and the four-way match started fast. TJ Perkins and Laredo Kid chased each other early while Dragon Lee took the first shot. Lee and Jack Cartwheel tried dueling dropkicks but both missed, sending the action to the outside while Perkins and Laredo faced off.
Laredo sent Perkins out and dove onto him. Cartwheel followed with a moonsault from the apron, and Lee tried to take control as the action broke down with big moves all around. Laredo hit a Michinoku Driver on Cartwheel, while Perkins locked Lee and Laredo in a double submission before it was broken up.
The pace stayed chaotic with Cartwheel hitting a twisting splash, Laredo delivering a destroyer DDT on Cartwheel, and Lee landing a sit-out powerbomb on Perkins for a near fall. Soon after, Lee hit a double superplex on Cartwheel and Laredo, and moments later used Cartwheel to hit a Styles Clash on Perkins, but Laredo broke up the pin.
Lee and Laredo traded strikes until Lee hit a spiked DDT and running knee. The match continued to spiral with all four men hitting big moves. Lee later dove onto Cartwheel outside but landed awkwardly and grabbed his knee.
Perkins tried to steal the win using the title belt, but Laredo kicked out. Laredo then hit a poisonrana on Perkins and followed with stomps to score the three-count.
Winner: Laredo Kid
After the match, Rey Fenix came down to the ring to congratulate Laredo Kid. He made it clear that he wants the next shot at the Cruiserweight Championship.
Backstage, Las Tóxicas praised Flammer and talked about how dominant she has been as champion. They listed several opponents she has beaten during her 1,000+ day title reign. Flammer then announced that on April 11, she will hold a celebration honoring her title reign and herself.
Abismo Negro vs. El Fiscal
This match had a lot of bad blood behind it. El Fiscal is the son of the original Abismo Negro, who died years ago, and he’s been angry about the current Abismo Negro using his father’s name.
Fiscal attacked Negro before the bell even rang. Once the match started, Fiscal sent him outside, took off his jacket, and dove onto him through the ropes. He rolled Negro back into the ring, splashed him in the corner, and kept throwing punches until Negro pushed him away.
Fiscal hit a superkick and clothesline, and the two traded punches in the middle of the ring. Fiscal went up top, but Negro knocked him off the turnbuckle and hit a dropkick. Negro then posed before slamming Fiscal’s head into the turnbuckle and chopping him along the ropes.
Fiscal fought back with a dropkick, but Negro answered with a clothesline and locked in a rear chinlock. Fiscal elbowed out, but Negro kept control and sent him into the corner. Fiscal came charging back and tried to lift Negro for el Martinete, but Negro countered and sent him shoulder-first into the ring post.
Negro tried to finish things with a piledriver, but Fiscal countered and rolled him up out of nowhere for the surprise win.
Winner: El Fiscal
After the match, Negro snapped and attacked Fiscal. He cleared off the announce table and put Fiscal on top of it before hitting a piledriver. The table didn’t break, and Negro ran back into the ring to celebrate while EMTs came out and carried Fiscal away on a stretcher.
Vikingo came to the ring with Dorian Roldan and Omos. Roldan grabbed a mic and told the crowd to be quiet. He praised Vikingo and said the fans should respect him and forget his past because he’s the best.
Vikingo agreed and called the wrestler formerly known as Mini Vikingo a fool. He mocked his mother for crying over his injuries and threatened them both. He then criticized the crowd for not respecting him and said he plans to go to WrestleMania to chase the WWE Intercontinental Championship. Vikingo then called out Penta.
Penta came out to a loud ovation and headed to the ring. He grabbed a mic and questioned Vikingo, mocking his pronunciation and saying no one would miss him if he left AAA for WWE.
The two got face-to-face until Omos stepped between them. Penta kept talking trash and said he would bust Vikingo open if he wanted the match.
A match between Penta and Vikingo was then made official for April 11 in Mexico. The segment ended with Penta shoving Vikingo, holding the Intercontinental Title up in Omos’ face, and thanking the crowd as the show went off the air.
