Knicks vs Thunder injury report: key absences for Sunday matchup

The New York Knicks will visit the Oklahoma City Thunder at Paycom Center on Sunday, March 29 at 7:30 PM ET with several key players sidelined.

Miles McBride is listed as questionable due to a pelvic and core muscle injury, while Landry Shamet is out with a right knee tibial plateau contusion. Ariel Hukporti and Dillon Jones remain out as they continue G League assignments.

The Thunder will be without Thomas Sorber, who is recovering from right ACL surgery. Nikola Topic and Brooks Barnhizer are probable, both returning from G League assignments.

New York enters the game with a 48-26 record, third in the Eastern Conference, after splitting their last two games with a win over New Orleans and a loss to Charlotte.

Jalen Brunson leads the team, averaging 26.2 points, 6.7 assists, and 3.4 rebounds per game, while Karl-Anthony Towns contributes 20.1 points and 11.9 rebounds. OG Anunoby and Mikal Bridges provide additional scoring and perimeter defense, both averaging over 14 points per contest.

Oklahoma City tops the Western Conference with a 58-16 record. Shai Gilgeous-Alexander leads the Thunder at 31.4 points and 6.6 assists per game, complemented by Chet Holmgren’s 17.1 points and 8.9 rebounds.

Sunday’s matchup will be the second meeting this season, following a narrow 103-100 Thunder win in Oklahoma City on March 4.
