Boys U14’s into League Final
Our Boy’s U14 side under Conor Pollock & Pat O’Sullivan have qualified for the League Final.
The South Munster U14 League is more of a marathon than a sprint. It started off in early October with 20 teams, divided into 3 Groups. Dolphin went through Group 2, winning 6/6.
The Top 8 sides into the “Cup League” and after 6 games, both Dolphin & Mallow were undefeated. Dolphin were at home for that last game and it went down to the wire. Mallow are an excellent side and going into the last play Dolphin led 43-36 and closed off the game with another converted try.
The Top 4 then went into a a further playoff, an open draw saw the top 2 drawn against each other with 3rd placed Clonakilty home to 4th placed Highfield.
It was another high scoring game, Dolphin getting through on a 64-39 scoreline. On the other side of the draw Clonakilty defeated Highfield 19-0.
The final date has yet to be announced, Dolphin have already defeated Clonakilty in earlier rounds, in phase one they won 45-29 at the Vale and in the 2nd phase 35-12 in Virgin Media Park.
