Cranston Police arrested Providence College forward Duncan Powell this weekend for alleged “Domestic Disorderly Conduct as a result of a disturbance,” according to police arrest logs.

In February, the Big East suspended Powell for three games following a hard foul on St. John’s forward Bryce Hopkins. The foul led to a skirmish and six player ejections, including Powell, who officials ruled had “engaged in additional combative actions.” The incident triggered the suspension under the NCAA’s rules on fighting.

Powell, 23, transferred to Providence from Georgia Tech. The Friars finished ninth in the Big East and failed to make the NCAA Tournament.

Providence College did not immediately respond to a request for comment.

This is a developing story and will be updated.
