Blake Monroe isn’t rushing to leave NXT anytime soon, and she made that clear while addressing the growing talk about a possible main roster call-up.
During a recent conversation with ReviewSTL, Monroe was asked about speculation surrounding her future and whether moving to RAW or SmackDown is something she sees happening soon. Instead of teasing an immediate jump, she explained that she still has personal goals she wants to accomplish before even thinking about leaving NXT behind.
She made it clear that her previous championship run didn’t end the way she wanted and that she feels there’s still more to prove. Monroe also said winning the top title in NXT remains one of her biggest priorities as she looks to finish what she started.
“I mean, timing is everything and I feel like the world and the universe knows what you need when you need it. Selfishly, I would really love to one, become a two time women’s North American champion. Because Champion. Because I feel like my Reign got cut short. I feel like I was very much screwed over by that referee. So there was a lot more I wanted to do in my reign as the women’s North American champion. “
So I do want to kind of retell and complete that story. “And I would like to become the world champ. I feel that when I debuted, I pinned JC, so there’s a story there. I never got my championship match. I kind of went on to do other things and. And I feel like it’s just completing NXT and being like I held every title and I held the world title, the top title in that brand. And I always say I’m the face of NXT title or not, but it would be nice to have that accessory.”
Monroe’s comments show that while fans may be expecting her to move up soon, she isn’t looking to leave NXT without finishing her story. By pointing to unfinished title goals and past frustrations, she made it clear that building a complete legacy in NXT matters more than rushing to the next step.
With title ambitions still on her mind and unfinished rivalries still in play, Monroe’s future in NXT looks far from settled. If she accomplishes what she’s aiming for, it could set the stage for a much bigger move down the line.
Do you think Blake Monroe should stay in NXT until she wins the top title, or is it time for her to move to the main roster now? Drop your thoughts in the comments and let us know what you think.
